Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Armenian government approved the project for setting up a logistics center, new highway and railway line on the area adjacent to “Zvartnots” airport today.
While presenting the project, Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan stated that the program provides setting up a new transport infrastructure of the airport, Mediamax reports.
The drafts of the center for logistics and new highways were worked out within the EU TRACECA program. The logistics center of the “Zvartnots” airport will make the inseparable part of the network of international logistics centers of the TRACECA corridor.
The implementation of the works (except for alienation of lands) will cost USD 50-55mln. The program will be implemented within the cooperation between the public and private sectors.
