Delivering a speech on November 29 at People Management ReForum event in Moscow, social investor Ruben Vardanyan shared his version of 5 main soft skills of the new rapidly changing world.
1. Critical thinking
We keep on living in the past and trying to take it in future. We must do the opposite and change the paradigm of inertness. We should observe new areas, ask ourselves questions: “What can I do in a different way?”, “What can I say in a different way?”

Love is the ability to share ideas, create trustful atmosphere, be honest and accepting. One can and should learn it. ⠀
3. Communications

70% of managers experience discomfort in communications with employees. The ability to communicate and be open isn’t the simplest skill, but one can develop it. Communication isn’t about 5000 friends on Facebook; it’s about trust and acceptance of different viewpoints.
4. Emotional intelligence
The ability to understand emotions and feelings of others, the ability to control your own emotions.

5. Flexibility of mind and adaptability
Flexibility of mind and adaptability is the ability to take creative and non-trivial steps, look for new forms and ideas, be able to experience mistakes and failure, ready for any new situation in business.
