Yerevan /Mediamax/. Acting Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan reiterated Armenia’s approach and stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement at the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov and OSCE mediators in Paris on January 16.
The Armenian MFA said that Mnatsakanyan particularly emphasized the importance of productive contacts for establishing mutual understanding and trust.
The ministry issued the following statement about the meeting:
“The interlocutors had a useful and constructive exchange, which is also aimed at establishing deeper mutual understanding and mutual trust.
At the meeting, which lasted more than four hours, the parties touched upon a wide range of issues related to the peace process, including preparing populations for peace, security and sustainable economic development.
The new dates for the next meeting are not yet confirmed, however, the Foreign Ministers agreed to continue consistent, result-oriented talks in upcoming months.”
