102nd military base replenished with “Infauna”

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The armory of subdivision of the Russian military base’s Radio-Electronic Combat (REC) of the Southern Military District deployed in Armenia has been replenished with the first batch of “Infauna” new and modern complexes designed on the basis of BTR-80 armored personnel carrier (APC).

Specialized units will introduce the servicemen to the employment of new technological solutions in signals intelligence at Kahmud high-altitude training complex in June.

 

In addition, the servicemen will learn to employ various ways to enlarge the areas of objects protected from radio-controlled mines and explosive devices and optical and radio or optical means of communication.

 

As the military base’s press service informs, “Infauna,” a new multifunctional complex of signals intelligence and radio-electronic warfare, will be first used in units in battalion and base military exercises due in the summer period of the trainings.

 

Russian units in the Transcaucasia are expected to get the next batch of REC complexes before the end of this year.
