Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Armenian Defense Ministry has today informed on an attempt of the state border violation by Azerbaijani armed forces.
“At around 22:30 on October 1, one of the subdivisions of the Azerbaijani armed forces located in Nakhijevan attempted to violate the southwest sector of the state border in Yeraskh direction for reasons inexplicable by the Armenian side; the attempt was noticed at the mid-position distance and prevented by the Armenian subdivisions”, the press release reads.
As a result of mutual shooting, the rival retreated.
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia warns that the rival’s attempts to escalate the situation in the Nakhijevan direction will be severely punished.
