Russian border guards detain over 190 people for violation of Armenian border in 2012

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Head of the Border Division of Russian Federal Security Service in Armenia, Lieutenant General Viktor Vlasov said today that the Russian border guards detailed more than 190 people for having violated Armenian state border over 2012.

Viktor Vlasov said that the majority of the violators were detained in Yerevan "Zvartnots" airport, Mediamax reports.

 

About 2000 people had some inaccuracies in their documents while passing the border and 550 of them weren't allowed to cross it.

 

"Our main mission is to protect Armenian state border and the mission is realized on the highest level", said Viktor Vlasov.

 

He stressed that extensive work on modernization of border checkpoints was realized this year.
