Yerevan /Mediamax/. The meeting of joint committees on EU-Armenia Visa Facilitation and Readmission Agreements will take place in Brussels on April 29.
At the meeting of EU and Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian said that Armenia hopes the meetings will enable the parties to launch dialog over visa liberalization with the EU.
“As envisaged in the Armenia-EU joint declaration adopted at Vilnius Summit, we have worked on the establishment of the new legal framework of our relations. On March 16, Armenian and EU negotiators completed consultations on the new legal framework and we expect EU member states to approve the mandate of the European negotiation group and we will launch the negotiations,” said the FM.
Speaking about Armenia-EU political dialog, Edward Nalbandian noted that it was quite saturated during the past month.
He also highlighted the review of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP).
“Armenia believes that various integration formats can be best used through a more prospective vision, which can be built on opportunities and not on incompatibility, thus disabling the creation of new division lines,” noted Edward Nalbandian.
