Iraqi Kurdistan interested in deepening ties with Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has today received Minister of Planning of Iraqi Kurdistan Ali Sindi.

The PM has expressed the confidence that the visit will boost deepening of relations with Iraqi Kurdistan, the Armenian governmental press service reports.

 

Ali Sindi has noted that Kurdistan is interested in deepening of ties with Armenia and the visit is aimed at studying Armenia’s investment potential and discuss prospects of collaboration with his Armenian counterparts.

 

In terms of realizing the economic potential, the sides stressed the importance of Armenia- Iraq intergovernmental commission, establishment of direct ties between Armenian and Kurdish businessmen and organization of business forums and meetings.

 

The third session of the intergovernmental commission is scheduled to be held in Baghdad in 2015 fall.
