Armenian PM receives Secretary of Russia’s Security Council

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the strategic cooperation between Armenia and Russia dynamically develops and constructive working environment is present, which is evidenced by frequent meetings and other high-level contacts with the Russian President and Prime Minister. Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the cooperation between the security councils of the two countries in the context of the continuous development of Armenian-Russian strategic ties, as well as joint work in provision of regional and international security and sustainability. 

 

Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council passed on greetings from the Russian President and Prime Minister to Nikol Pashinyan and noted that he is happy to visit Armenia and meet with Armenian Prime Minister and Secretary of Armenian Security Council. Patrushev found the consultations with the Armenian Security Council Secretary efficient and noted that issues of cooperation in various directions in security sector were discussed, as well as Armenia-Russia collaboration within the frames of international organizations both in bilateral and multilateral formats. 

 

Nikolai Patrushev informed that Security Council Secretaries Meeting of the CIS Member-States is planned in November this year and, as always, Armenia has confirmed its participation. 

 

The Armenian Prime Minister and the Russian Federation Security Council Secretary exchanged ideas on settlement of NK issue, preservation of military balance and sustainability in the region, as well as developments and challenges of regional and international security.
