Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan stated that "Armenia continues to strengthen its military presence on occupied territories of Azerbaijan”.

“Armenia which does not abide by UN Security Council’s resolutions has not only refused to withdraw forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan but also continues to strengthen its military presence and conducts large-scale military exercises by violating the international law, UN Security Council’s resolutions and breaching the ceasefire in a pointed manner”, the statement reads.

“It should be taken into consideration that these provocative exercises were conducted immediately after the meetings of Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan held upon the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi on August 10, 2014, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Wales on September 4 and French President Francois Hollande in Paris on October 27. All the positive trends marked during these meetings provided a ground for peaceful negotiations. Conducting military exercises on Azerbaijani territories harms the negotiation processes”, the statement of the Foreign Ministry reads.
