Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foreign Ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan Sergey Lavrov and Elmar Mammadyarov will discuss issues of Nagorno Karabakh settlement in Moscow today.

“As an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair, Russia has been playing an active role in the settlement for over 20 years. Taking into account the geographic proximity and common history of our peoples, deblocking of the conflict is of primary importance for us and is among Russia’s foreign policy priorities”, the commentary of the Information and Press Department of Russian Foreign Ministry reads this.

“At the same time, it should be noted that the OSCE Minsk Group can help and back the process proposing options of solution. The settlement itself doesn’t depend on the mediators; it depends on the conflicting sides. Neither the parties nor the mediators have to concede that “magic recipes” will appear from outside which will immediately resolve the NK conflict. Success comes with tenacity”, the commentary of the Information and Press Department of Russian Foreign Ministry notes this.
