Yerevan/Mediamax/. First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Davit Tonoyan had a phone conversation today with Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
Armenian Defense Ministry informed that the parties discussed current situation at the NKR-Azerbaijan Line of Contact. Davit Tonoyan informed Ambassador Kasprzyk that on September 25, Armenian soldier Sevak Khachatryan (born in 1997) was fatally shot by the Azerbaijani side.
Armenian First Deputy Minister of Defense considered ceasefire violations unacceptable and stressed that Azerbaijan carries full responsibility for the lethal outcome of this incident.
Andrzej Kasprzyk expressed his concern over the incident and the casualty it caused, and promised to take measures to avoid further destabilization of the situation.
