Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of the European Council Donald Tusk has stated in Baku today that the Karabakh conflict can be settled solely through political means.
“There is no military solution. There can be only a political settlement in accordance with the international law. The European Union supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and their objective of a fair and firm settlement based on key principles of the Helsinki Final Act,” Tusk said following the talks with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
“Like the co-chairs, we are concerned about the recent casualties on the Line of Contact. Restraint is important, equally as the efforts aimed at restoring the atmosphere conducive to peace and productive negotiations,” added Donald Tusk.
