Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition party said today that the amendment to the Law on “Turnover Tax” coming into effect on October 1 “puts tens of thousands of entrepreneurs of small and medium enterprises in a deadlock”.
“For already several days thousands of entrepreneurs protest demanding to stop the application of the new law. In response to the citizens’ demands, the most despicable means of the regime’s arsenal are employed, among them, for example, the illegal steps and demands of the owner of the gold market”.
The ANC requires the Prosecutor General to take immediate measures to institute proceedings against those who conduct illegitimate acts towards entrepreneurs protecting their rights”, the press release reads.
The ANC also found it urgent to adopt the bill on the amendments to the Law on “Turnover Tax” devised by the ANC, Prosperous Armenia and Heritage factions.
