Yerevan /Mediamax/. NKR MP, Artsakh Hero Vitaly Balasanyan stated today that Zhirayr Sefilyan does not demand Armenian President’s resignation.

Vitaly Balasanyan said this at the meeting with journalists today at the seized Police Station.

“I have seen Sefilyan earlier, presidential representatives and Alek Yenigomshyan were present as well, and we discussed the surrender. Sefilyan doesn’t demand, but suggests to release political prisoners, change the means of his imprisonment, and release everyone detained in connection with events of July 17,” Vitaly Balasanyan said.

He informed that Armenian President ordered not to use force.

“On the other hand, I told “Sasna Tsrer” men too that those who use weapons will immediately get the appropriate response,” Vitaly Balasanyan said, stressing that he is against solving political issues through force.

NKR MP noted that this all cannot last long, and members of the armed group should lay down their weapons today or tomorrow.

“Their action is completed. Everyone understood their demands. We realized what problems and gaps we have. This is a wake-up call for the authorities. As for how the situation will develop after the surrender, it is clear that a criminal case will be opened and the group members will be detained, as they carried weapons and caused a casualty. It should be determined who did it. However, everything will be done to keep losses to the minimum,” Vitaly Balasanyan said.

It is worth reminding that the hostages, held at Erebuni Police Station, were released today with mediation of Vitaly Balasanyan, who organized a meeting between the members of “Sasna Tsrer” and Director of National Security Service Gevorg Kutoyan, which resulted in the decision to release hostages with the condition that a press office will be established in the area.
