Yerevan /Mediamax/. Forget-me-not flower has been chosen as the emblem and "I Remember and Demand”- the slogan of the Armenian Genocide Centennial.

Mediamax reports that Chief of the Armenian Presidential Staff Vigen Sargsyan stated it today presenting the results of the meetings of the regional committees coordinating the events dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial.

“The task force set up by the commission coordinating the events dedicated to Armenian Genocide Centennial has held a two-stage competition for which dozens of works were submitted. The commission has approved this emblem. Forget-me-not flower bears the same meaning in almost all languages – not to forget, to remember and to remind. That is why we have chosen the forget-me-not flower. This emblem will be used throughout 2015”, said Vigen Sargsyan.

According to him, “I Remember and Demand” is a personalized slogan reflecting the history of the tragedy Armenian families experienced and the demand Armenian people put forward to the whole  world.
