Yerevan /Mediamax/. Around 140 young Armenian basketball players took part in the master class delivered by Olympic Champion Sarunas Marciulionis at Grand Sport Complex today.

“Children should know which the basis of basketball is, learn to understand this sport and gradually improve themselves. Today I taught them the tricks they will beyond doubt need in the future. These children should work harder, continuously train, and some of them should consume less chocolate not to gain extra weight. One training is not enough to make assessments but I can say that girls appear well-trained. There was also a boy who caught my attention – if he continues to train in the right way, then he will be a success”, said Marciulionis.

The legendary Lithuanian athlete who has his own basketball school in Vilnius said it would be quite interesting to continue cooperation with Armenia: “Despite the distance between our countries I believe if there is cooperation, young Armenian basketball players might arrive in Vilnius during summer months and attend trainings at our school”.

After the master class, the young players who played the best were gifted the DVD of “The Other Dream Team” movie about the phenomenon of the Lithuanian basketball with the autograph of Marciulionis.

It should be noted that the basketball player’s visit to Armenia was organized by the Embassy of Lithuania in Armenia and Mediamax Media Company and VivaCell-MTS is the general partner.
