Yerevan/Mediamax/. Chief of Staff of the Armenian President, Coordinator of State Commission on Coordination of the Armenian Genocide Centennial Events said today that the International Union of Armenian Advocates is currently working out a comprehensive conception and file of legal claims on handling the Genocide ramifications.

''It is known that the file of legal claims was discussed at the session of the State Commission on Coordination of the Armenian Genocide Centennial yesterday. We have not set a clear schedule when the final package of claims should be ready as we are going to hold very serious discussions and reach an agreement with all the possible beneficiaries”, Vigen Sargsyan said this talking to journalists. Upon Mediamax correspondent’s request, he commented on the provision on legal claims contained in the Pan-Armenian Declaration published yesterday.

He added that they expect to work out a comprehensive file which will combine the approaches of the Armenians worldwide to handling the Genocide ramifications and relevant legal claims.

“In this case, legal ways shouldn’t be only identified to court trials. As a rule, the best path is to settle the dispute before entering the court”, clarified Vigen Sargsyan.

Speaking on Pan-Armenian Declaration, he said that it is the first document of its kind which creation brought together all the structures of Armenia and the Diaspora.

“The adoption of the document is already a significant phenomenon. It is also a major response to those who make up stories as though Armenians in Diaspora and in Armenia have other wishes and goals. It is a response of unity which our people is demonstrating ahead of the Centennial”, said the Chief of Staff of the Armenian President.
