Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian citizens struggling against energy price rise have stated that their demands haven’t been met so far and, consequently, the struggle is going on.

The press release disseminated by Davit Sanasaryan on behalf of protesters reads this. The press release is signed by “citizens struggling against energy price rise”.

“Hovik Abrahamyan [Armenian PM] has noted that it’s yet not decided how the AMD6.93 rise will be compensated, but he hinted the extra-budgetary sources. We recall that the movement is principally against the price rise, which is why it will not accept the decision on increasing the price and reimbursing with any funds”, the citizens noted.

The movement has responded to the statement on conducting audit at Electric Networks of Armenia noting that “the topic is gradually turning into a means of concealing the frauds instead of revealing them in case of lack of trust”.

The citizens fighting against the energy price rise have recalled their main demands which are as follows:

1. Cancel the anti-social decision on the energy price rise.

2. Punish the policemen who used force against participants of the peaceful rally and journalists and stop persecution of the participants of the peaceful rally.

3. Revise the tariff for its further reduction.
