Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today attended the events dedicated to the 2700th anniversary of foundation of Echmiadzin.
The Armenian President visited the Vazgen Sargsyan Square near Saint Hripsime Church to participate in the opening ceremony of Vazgen Sargsyan’s monument, the Armenian presidential press service reports.
The President then visited the construction site of the sports complex, attended the groundbreaking ceremony and got acquainted with the construction of the complex and projects for improvement of the area.
Within the events, Serzh Sargsyan also visited the newly renovated Y. Tadevosyan Art School, got acquainted with the implemented works and the conditions for 300 pupils.
Afterwards, the President paid tribute to the heroes of Artsakh Liberation War. Later, he attended the solemn session dedicated to the 2700th anniversary of Echmiadzin’s foundation.
