Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian National Security service informs that they continue to take measures to renew unilaterally suspended negotiations on July 23, 2016 by armed group that has seized Armenian Police Station.
NSS stated that it was suggested to hospitalize one of the members of the armed group that had been wounded to ensure appropriate medical treatment: however, the suggestion was refused by the militants.
Within the framework of criminal case on Armenian Police Station occupation, new arrests were carried out and another group was identified that assisted the armed group.
NSS mentioned that there is still way to solve this issue peacefully.
“Although little, but there is still time for that”, NSS said reminding that the criminal punishment type and degree of severity for the crimes will be determined by the nature of the actions of each member of the armed group and degree of caused consequences.
“People that voluntarily refused to commit a crime can be exempted from criminal liability. On this occasions militants were distributed written clarification, as well as explanation on their enforceable action sequences and surrender route”, the statement reads.
