Yerevan/Mediamax/. Event Supervisor Eurovision Song Contest Sietse Bakker said in his interview to Mediamax today that the Armenian Public TV (APTV) didn’t informed them about the intention not to participate in the Eurovision 2012 song contest due to be held in Baku.

Sietse Bakker said this answering a question whether the APTV turned to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to withdraw its application for participation in Eurovision-2012.

“We have received no such letter and Armenian Public TV has not indicated to us that they are even considering to withdraw”, said Sietse Bakker to Mediamax.

A group of Armenian singers made a statement last week and urged the Armenian Public TV to refuse sending a participant to Baku.

The Armenian Public TV didn’t comment on this statement.
