Yerevan /Mediamax/. Minister of Urban Development of Armenia Narek Sargsyan summed up the year at a meeting with journalists today. He said that his 7-8 months of 2014 in the office were ''the stage of detecting and addressing issues''.
Narek Sargsyan said that they will pass on to the phase of settlement of urban development issues in 2015-2016.
''Draft laws ''On Engineering Activities'' and ''On Yerevan Small Center Development'' were the main achievements of 2014. In particular, a new mechanism will be set up to address the issue of half-built constructions, and tax obligations will increase exponentially if they are delayed'', said the Minister.
As for the construction of attic floors, Narek Sargsyan said that the Yerevan Mayor's Office should submit the conception of settlement of the issues within a year.
The Minister also attached importance to the works in the disaster area saying that the issue of the registered families will be fully addressed in Gyumri and marzes in late 2015 and 2016 respectively.
