Kansas National Guard delegation starts the visit to Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Armed Forces and Kansas Army National Guard have cooperated for 15 years, implementing and carrying on various programs that stand as an important component of Armenian-American collaboration in defense, said Armenia’s acting Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan.

He made that remark at the meeting with the American delegation, headed by U.S. Adjutant General of Kansas Lee Tafanelli, on December 6.

 

Lee Tafanelli reaffirmed that Kansas National Guard will continue developing cooperation with Armenian army in peacekeeping, military medicine, personnel combat training and other traditional areas, at the same time welcoming all new initiatives.

 

Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer is expected to arrive in Armenia on December 7 and attend the events commemorating the victims of Spitak earthquake (1988) in Gyumri with the Kansas Army National Guard delegation.
