Yerevan/Mediamax/. Board of Governors of UWC Dilijan College chose the model of the next phase in the development of the school.

The statement issued by the Board of Governors reads:

“In the three years since his appointment as the Founding Head of UWC Dilijan in July 2013, John Puddefoot has worked tirelessly to establish the college as a leading educational institution in the region. He and the team he has created and led have already made it a beacon of excellence in the Caucasus.

In considering the next phase in the development of the school several models have been reviewed by the school’s Board of Governors. A model has been chosen which further integrates the school within its Armenian context and the broader aims and functioning of the IDeA and RVVZ Foundations, including in its operations.

The Board now believes that this is an appropriate moment to effect a change of leadership at the school to reflect these new priorities. As a consequence, and in mutual agreement, it has been decided that John Puddefoot will not continue as Head of College beyond the end of this academic year.

The Board will shortly appoint an interim head to take over from July 1st, who will hand over to a permanent successor for John Puddefoot once carefully selected.

“On behalf of the Board of Governors I wish to record our unreserved appreciation of all that John Puddefoot has done and achieved during his three years with UWC Dilijan, and wish him well in his future career,” said Veronika Zonabend, the Chair of the Board of Governors of UWC Dilijan College”.
