Yerevan/Mediamax/. U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern made a statement on his video blog today noting that the best way to respect the memory of the killed in the conflict zone is to stop the clashes right now.
''As Ambassador Warlick ( U.S. OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair- ed.) noted it is not a frozen conflict. We call for taking necessary steps to ease the tension and respect the ceasefire both here and in Baku'', noted Heffern.
The U.S. Ambassador said that '' threats and rough rhetoric do not help to settle the issue'' stressing that ''the conflict does not have a military solution''.
''We call upon the sides to start serious talks. Revenge and further violence will make it hard to find a peaceful solution”, said John Heffern.
