Yerevan/Mediamax/. President of the European Council Donald Tusk has stated that "the European Union will continue closely working with Armenia for the benefit of all Armenians”.

“My visit to Armenia proves the importance that the EU attaches to relations with Armenia and the region,” he noted today following the meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

Donald Tusk has underlined that the EU will continue providing technical and financial assistance for the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

“We have also discussed issues relating to foundation of a special anti-corruption committee. The EU welcomes Armenia’s endeavors to create an independent, efficient and accountable judiciary. Strong judiciary is a key component of democracy as well as economic and social development,” he said.

Touching on the Karabakh conflict, Tusk highlighted that the solution to it can be only political.
