Yerevan /Mediamax/. Chairman of Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of Armenian National Assembly Artak Zakaryan said today that there is no need for change in Armenia’s foreign policy.

“Our foreign policy provides satisfactory and in some instances full opportunities for ensuring Armenia’s natural participation on international platforms and resources for peaceful developments in the region,” Artak Zakaryan told the press.

He stressed that countries and international organizations that cooperate with Armenia, “Fully understand and accept Armenia’s multidirectional foreign policy”.

Touching upon the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Artak Zakaryan noted, “The process is in a rational phase at the moment”.

“The negotiations are on hold now, not at an impasse. There is one necessity in the NK issue, and that is to restore the environment of peaceful settlement,” Artak Zakaryan said and added, “Perhaps the negotiations are at an impasse for Azerbaijan, but for us there are agreements, reached at the last two meetings of the Presidents.”
