Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan introduced today newly appointed Public Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan.
Serzh Sargsyan thanked former Public Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan, emphasizing that Armenia today has registered some progress towards rule of law and fight against crimes and abuses, including those in prosecution system.
According to Armenian presidential press service, “Serzh Sargsyan noted that at this critical moment for the country Artur Davtyan has the relevant knowledge, experience and will to achieve new successes in prosecution with the help of his colleagues”.
President noted that if there is no progress in judicial and legislative systems, there will be no success in economy, as well as in social and political life.
Artur Davtyan assured that his team in prosecution system fully comprehends the problems that Armenia faces and promised to do everything to meet the expectations.
