Yerevan /Mediamax/. Tbilisi believes that the signing of the EU Association Agreement will not hamper Georgia’s trade-economic relations with CIS states, particularly with Armenia.

State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alex Petriashvili stated it in an interview with Lenta.ru.

“We have bilateral agreements on free trade with all these countries. We have very good relations with Kazakhstan, Armenia and Belarus. If necessary, we are ready for meetings within intergovernmental committees and in other formats. All issues can be settled through negotiations and consultations. I do not see any special issue in this respect. And it should be noted that it’s very positive this issue is not being politicized but is brought to a practical perspective. I hope it will continue in the future as well and it will be possible to preserve the level at the same time improving trade relations with these states”, said the State Minister.
